Join Tampa Theatre’s Paranormal Explorers League and venture throughout Tampa Theatre in this rare opportunity to experience the spooky side of Tampa Theatre as you conduct your own 4 hour paranormal exploration of one of America's best-preserved grand movie palaces.  After a brief introduction to the theatre, you’ll break up into intimate groups and journey with your trained guide to places rarely seen by guests including the historically very active projection booth. You’ll document the sights and sounds of this historic landmark using an assortment of hand-held equipment such as an infrared non-contact thermometer and an Electro-Magnetic Frequency meter, as well was your own camera.  During your exploration you’ll enjoy sumptuous midnight hors d'oeuvres on the Tampa Theatre stage as your guide shares some of the tales (and pictures!) of paranormal events experienced by staff and guests throughout Tampa Theatre’s 83 year history.  Tampa Theatre’s first-ever public paranormal exploration is limited to 30 explorers, so tickets must be purchased in advance.

Special Note: This tour involves significant stair climbing throughout Tampa Theatre’s three stories and there is unfortunately no handicapped access to the second and third floors. It also includes frank discussion of ghosts and paranormal phenomenon. Folks with mobility challenges or children under 15 or who are easily frightened should attend our Balcony-To-Backstage tour instead, which includes a selection of the milder Tampa Theatre ghost stories.
